Steve Winwood was born on this day in 1948. After starting out with the Spencer Davis Group and Traffic, Winwood has had an amazing career playing on hits for others (Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile") and had a string of hits here in the US. This is my favorite of his solo hits:
