Dominik Chong Qui has been signed to a Homegrown contract through the 2028 MLS season, with an option for 2029. He has played in two matches during the 2025, making his first start last week against New York City FC.

Chong Qui has been called up a few times to help assist the first team this season. He earned his MLS debut against Atlanta's 2-0 loss to Charlotte FC on the road. Before Atlanta's match against NYCFC, he replaced Pedro Amador, who was ruled out due to a quad injury and left warmups early, to earn his first MLS start with Atlanta United.

“This was his first game to start, and he has also been away with the U-18 US Men’s National Team, so it is a little bit tough to get into a routine, but I really believe in him and think he did some really good things today," said head coach Ronny Deila. "Of course, he did things that he can also do better, and he knows that, but we absolutely have a player for the future, and not only for the future, because he can do something now. I know it. It was good to get his debut, and it was good his mistake did not give anything to the opponent, and we learned in a winning situation. He just needs to keep training and keep pushing, because he has something special.”

The Alpharetta native signed a Atlanta United 2 deal through the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season after he broke through last season with the 2's. After getting an opportunity in mid-season, Chong Qui became a fixture at left back for the 2's in 2024. He played 1,128 minutes across 17 appearances and made 12 starts.

Chong Qui also was called up to the U-18s squad for the USA in the recent international window. He started in both matches for the U-18s in their 2-2 draw against Morocco on March 22 and a 4-3 win against Norway March 25 during a training camp in Marbella, Spain.

He joined Atlanta United’s Academy in 2022 and was part of the U-16 Academy team which won the 2023 MLS NEXT Cup Championship.
